Phishing Emails and Other Scams
As businesses and as individuals, we need to be alert to the risks presented by phishing emails and other scams. At Impact Digital Marketing we take cybersecurity seriously, and we work hard to protect ourselves and our clients.
Phishing emails are sent by criminals to attempt to extract confidential information. They are designed to mimic legitimate emails, lulling recipients into a false sense of security. Phishing emails can persuade their targets to disclose personal information, download malware, or even carry out fraudulent financial transactions.
Stay safe: if you have any suspicions at all about an email you receive from Impact Digital Marketing, do not click on any links or open any attachments. Contact us and we’ll be able to advise whether it is a legitimate email or not.
Criminals generate fake invoices for goods and services that have not been ordered or received. They apply branding to the invoices to make them appear to have come from reputable businesses.
Stay safe: if you have received an invoice from Impact Digital Marketing, even though you have never engaged with us, it may well be an invoice scam. If you are at all unsure of what the invoice is for, do not pay it. Contact us and we will advise whether it is a legitimate invoice from Impact Digital Marketing or not.
